Allow your voice to ride on a cushion of air up and down the octave as you work to increase your singing range. Don't force your breath beyond your comfort zone. Note: Breathe as often as you need. Never sing until your breath is completely gone. It will make your muscles tighten, as if you are feeling panic. If you breathe when you need to, in time you will be able to sing longer phrases. Your support muscles will learn how to coordinate naturally. The exercise repeats six times, modulating up a half step each time.
